After two weeks of almost non-stop reading everything I can get on the Harry Potter novels, I took today off to work on my hp_yule_balls fic.

Yes, I made progress. No, not as much as I wanted to. Worst: next comes the smut. And I feel so uninspired. Plus, I discovered that I have trouble writing dirty talk. It all sounds so awfully idiotic to me. Not good when what you go for is erotic. *sighs*

And probably the worst thing is that the bloody fic already is over 18k long! Without smut! Given that my smut tends to be long I should be happy if I manage to finish under 30k. I'm so doomed.

I can only hope my recipient won't mind a long, rambling fic with half the characters going off somewhere they were never supposed to go.

Okay, next step for the fic: get rid of family and definitely-ex girlfriend, get the boys alone (perferably in under 3,000 words), and then hope and pray that Muse will come up with something smutty.
