My Snarry Swap fic is growing into even more of a monster than I'd thought. Argh! 11,600 words, and I'm only on part four of my plot outline. Four. Out of thirteen!

I'm so doomed.

But I love it. I seriously do. It's an amazing fic. At least, it's amazing to write. Things just flow along, and the boys talk, and stuff happens, and then backstory pops up I'd never thought about or planned. The whole thing is just amazing!

Now to finish it on time without killing myself dead.

Finished my hp_yule_balls fic! Yay! :) And I managed to finish in under 30k! Yeah, okay, 400 words aren't that much. But still. Under 30k. *grins proudly*

So, anyone interested in beta reading? Deadline's November 28, so you'll have plenty of time.

And now, off to pick up work on the Snarry Swap fic again.

I am, I am! If I keep this up, I might be able to finish my hp_yule_balls fic either tomorrow or Saturday!

Gosh, it feels so good to just let the story flow through you instead of having to constantly struggle to get a few hundred words down. Who needs chocolate? *is on fic high*

Now, my progress, let me show it to you: yesterday, I wrote 3.233 words. Today, I got down even more, 4.921 words! And the really great thing about this is, I like what I've done! What's even better, I not only added a lot of words to the count but actually managed to move the plot forwards. Best, we're getting closer to the actual smut!

I'm very happy and also very hungry, so I shall now turn off the computer and eat something.

Oh, btw, fic now stands at 21k words and will end up 30k again. And because I'm feeling so good, I'm not going to worry about boring my readers to tears before we get to the smut.

Now, food!

I've been a very bad fangirl. I got the most wonderful fic and I didn't immediately start squeeing over it. Bad Cira! No spanking for you. Allow me to do some squeeing now.

So, on August 28, I innocently started reading my friends list and saw my name on that day's hp_sas fic. It made me very happy because I was desperately looking for a good fic to read.

Then, there was the summary: Harry’s a natural Dom looking desperately for a sub. He is directed to a delightful ‘restaurant,’ where anything you crave is in the offing. But Harry isn’t sure his order, when it arrives, is what he actually wants. It’s up to Scorpius to convince him he picked the right dish. Harry resists, but who could say no to such a treat? No one, indeed. And me least of all. squeee!!

And then there were the warnings which totally should read enticements: D/s, semi-public sex, chan, dom!Harry, threesome (Harry/Scorpius/OC), cross-dressing, bondage, spanking, blow jobs, a little rimming, very brief mention of foodplay, partially-clothed sex. This had little Cira bouncing in her seat and half-melted into goo already. squeeeeee!!!

Afterwards, I needed about half an hour to write a coherent comment. Happy goo cannot write coherent comments, and I totally was happy goo because the fic is totally, absolutely brilliant. *insert incoherent squeeing*

It's hot. No doubt about that. Brain-meltingly hot. You saw the kinks, right? But it's more than that. It's got a little plot with a nice twist. It's got some angsty moments. It's got humour. And it's got some real sweetness under all the hot smut. Not fluff, but sweetness. I loved how Harry at first went to the restaurant for fulfiment of his sexual needs and eventually found fulfilemtn of his emotional needs as well. And the glimpses of Scorpius's emotions were lovely. Most of all I adored his reactions to Harry complimenting him.

Oh, and the idea of the restaurant? Brilliant! So much room for future playing. :)

The icing of the cake for me was finding out that the_con_cept had written the fic. Squee! I mean, how often do you get a wonderful fic tailored to your requests written by one of your favourite writers? I'm a very happy little Cira and I think I'll just go an re-read the fic. Again. (No, I haven't counted how many times I've read it so far. Often.)

( The Dragon and the Pygmy Puff Part Three )

Phew. Finally finished my fest fic. It's awfully long and I wrote the smut in a kind of daze. No idea if what I did even makes sense. I already love my beta for putting up with me.

So. Now that it's done, I can with good conscience spend time on my two Christmas fics. I've been wanting to do that for days! No fest stuff, though. One's a little "mystery" fic, in 25 parts, to be posted one part per day during December. (We'll see if I manage that).

The other one is actually a Christmas present for one of my favourite writers. I love her stories so much that I wanted to give her something back. Muse thought the idea was nice but didn't show much interest. Then the other day, I cleared up my fanfiction files and found an old bunny. Muse instantly decided that this was what we were going to write. It's a very pr0ny story and I'm really exited about it. Won't tell more, in case I don't manage to finish it before Christmas. Wouldn't want to disappoint awesome writer. ^-^

Update on my life. Heh.

I had a very busy week. Last Tuesday, I started writing my thesis. Finished introduction on Wednesday. Rewrote whole thing on Saturday. Still don't like it. Argh. Began theory stuff on narrator yesterday. It's okay. Doesn't go with intro, though. Double argh.

Anyone of you well-versed in narratology and Harry Potter? I'd love to have someone to bounce off ideas and discuss things and analyses etc. None of my friends knows enough about Harry Potter to be much of a help.

Last Thursday, I wrote smut. Not as much as I had planned but smut. I even like it. And now I worry that it's boring, or something. Usually, when I write and like what I did, it's no good. We'll see. Also, smut's not finished, so I'll be spending this Thursday making one character do the other. When that's finished, I only need a good ending - making girlfriend a definite ex - and I'm done. Yay! starry_nights88, if your offer to do the SPaG beta is still on, I'll gladly accept! ^-^

Saturday, I went to the birthday party of a friend I hadn't seen in years and got smashed. Had trouble driving home the next day. And the night ... eh, I'd better write an f-locked entry fot that. *grins*

Perhaps more interesting: Hamilton! For those new to my LJ: that's where I spent last year. Hamilton, New Zealand. I'm still homesick. First chance I get and I'll be back there. *nods*

And now I'd better stop procrastinating and get cracking. Must write "narrator" today. *would prefer to write smut*

Is there anyone willing to read my fest fic for me? No SPaG, just read through and tell me whether it's okay so far or not. Perhaps tell me what I could do better.

There's no smut yet. I meant to write that today, but I'm so unhappy with the last bits I wrote yesterday that I can't go on. And for some reason I really can't figure out what it is I don't like about the last couple of hundred words.

Um, the fic's 21k so far. Meant to be Harry/Charlie, but mentions other pairings. DH compliant.
